Hopkinton Community Register and Telephone Directory

The annual Hopkinton Community Register and Telephone Directory is a tradition in our town, mailed free of charge to every Hopkinton household and town office.  The 2012-2013 edition will be published and released in early October. 

Advertising space is available for next year. 

Merchants find that the directory encourages residents to patronize local businesses, so we encourage you to advertise in the next edition. You will find an ad in the directory is a real bargain considering how much use the book receives.

Cover Design and Photo Contest

The Hopkinton Women’s Club sponsors a town-wide contest each year.  We solicit creative photos for the cover of the Hopkinton Phone Directory and artwork for note cards. If you are an aspiring photographer or even an accomplished one, please enter our contest.

Members of Hopkinton Women’s Club judge the photos and select the winner each June.

Traditional or digital photos are acceptable and they can be realistic or artfully enhanced. If you are submitting a computer created photo, you will need to submit a print for judging purposes.

Entry forms are available at the Hopkinton Library, the High School Art Department, and by emailing Jane Anderson at Janemema@verizon.net.

Guidelines for Hopkinton Women’s Club
Annual Cover Design Contest

The Hopkinton Women’s Club is sponsoring a photo contest for the 2012-13 Community Register & Telephone Directory cover and a design contest for note cards. Submissions will only be accepted from Hopkinton, MA residents.

The winning prize is $50 for each design.

Criteria for the telephone directory cover:

1. Photo may be black and white or color, size 5.5” X 8.5” with vertical orientation (may be larger with same proportions). Photo must have sufficient resolution for high quality printing, a minimum size of 250 DPI.
2. Photo may be printed or digital, realistic or artfully enhanced (if digital, please submit a printed copy).
3. Photo must be a picture of Hopkinton with the theme “Our Town.”   
4. If your photo is not chosen for the telephone directory, it may be chosen for a note card. 

Criteria for the note card design:

1. Black and white photo or pen and ink drawing
2. Vrtical or horizontal, 5.5”x.8.5”
3. Design must be about Hopkinton with the theme “Our Town."
